The mission of the Centre d’Appui Scolaire is to prevent young people from dropping out of school by enabling them to keep up with their studies. In particular, the Centre d’Appui Scolaire seeks to limit the impact of an accident or illness on a student’s education and future.<\/p>\n

The Association supports young people who are 16 years of age or older and hospitalised in the Geneva University Hospitals (in adult wards), young people hospitalised in the HUG paediatric wards during the summer holidays, and young people in Geneva clinics, regardless of their age.<\/p>\n

The Centre d’Appui Scolaire also provides academic support to children and adolescents who are receiving outpatient care or who have been discharged from hospital or clinic and have returned home.<\/p>\n

In addition, the Association offers tutoring support to children, teenagers and young adults with an ill parent who are experiencing difficulties at school.<\/p>\n<\/div>

TUITION FOR PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOL<\/h2>\n<\/div>

The Centre d\u2019Appui Scolaire\u2019s temporary tuition is tailored to the specific needs of each student. Our offer covers all subjects taught at the primary and secondary I and II levels (elementary, middle and high school).<\/p>\n

The Centre d\u2019Appui Scolaire offers tuition for the Swiss and French curricula, as well as for the International Baccalaureate Diploma programme.<\/p>\n

The Centre aims to create a strong bond between the students and their tutors in order to:<\/p>\n

  • ensure the students stay or get back on track at school<\/li>\n
  • maintain or improve their skills and knowledge<\/li>\n
  • make them rediscover that learning is fun<\/li>\n
  • recover their self-confidence<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>
